Christine's Birth Story
So, I finally got my birth story posted on my blog. It’s at

As far as the Hypnobabies went… I was never actually able to finish the program
with DD#2 (see Elli’s Birth 5/31/06 in the birth stories files), and this time
around I didn’t really get past week one and I had a super hard time even
practicing the finger-drop technique.
This birth was much more intense and much faster than I was expecting. It was
very hard to focus and stay in hypnosis. I would say there WAS *pain*, but it
was still an amazing birth and I was very aware of my body and how it was
working. It was really nice to have midwives that allowed me to dictate how I
labored and how I birthed. I felt wonderfully free to allow my body to do what
it needed, and I felt wonderfully comfortable while making birth “noises” and
moving to more comfortable positions.
When I get pregnant with the next baby, I will most likely insist on taking
another class for a better review. :) I truly believe Hypnobabies works, I just
didn’t get the practice I needed, and I’d forgotten a lot in a year and a half.
